Graphic Designs
You can find more about my graphic design origin story on the trading cards page. I've made a lot of things. Video game covers, trading cards, postcards, streamer layouts, logos, ROBLOX clothes, wallpapers, and more. If there is customization in a game that lets you upload images, you have me sold. One of my favorite projects was making custom tags for Squishmallows. They were a pain to put together, but they came out great.
3D Printing
I got my first 3D printer, the Ender 3, in 2020. Since then, I have made a good number of useless junk with it. But some of it has been practical. Most of the things I print were made by other people, but I have tried 3D modeling some things, and they have actually turned out quite good, like this custom amiibo that needs to be painted and a card stand that holds my PSA 9 Luka at work.
My most ambitious project has been this helmet from Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. It took me 5 months of work before I got a product I was happy with, even though it still isn't perfect.
Kombucha Brewing
In 2019, I wanted to redefine my image. I started listening to alternative rock, stopped wearing basketball shorts, and started drinking kombucha. But those things were expensive. A bottle of GT Dave's is like $3, and that adds up quickly if you drink one a day. I learned to brew and ferment my own kombucha using a starter I got from Facebook Marketplace and some Naked fruit juice. I haven't touched my scoby, Cobey, in ages, though. Hope he is doing ok.UPDATE: Cobey is dead.
Nail Art
I first started painting my nails black in 2021. During a work event, I thought it would be fun to put the company's logo on my nails to celebrate. I used waterslide decal paper to make the designs, and they worked fairly well. Since then, I have rocked all sorts of different interests on my hands.
Collecting Vinyls
Alongside my 2019 image refresh came new hobbies. I have always been a collector of a lot of things, but music was never one of them. However, this new me wanted to be a little quirkier, and what could be more quirky than collecting vinyl records? I bought a nice Audio Technica Bluetooth player at Best Buy to play my first ever record, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships by The 1975. My humble collection features a good variety of music for its small size, it goes from Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift to Post Malone and Trans Siberian Orchestra.
Shiny Pokémon Hunting
The most boring hobby. It's just A, A, L+R+Start, and repeat. Over and over again. But the adrenaline you get when you finally find what you are looking for is nice. Then you do it again. And again. I wonder how many days I've wasted doing this. Anyway, heres a picture of my Shiny Ribbon Master Mew.
I opened my first pack of Pokémon cards when I was six years old. I think it was a pack of EX FireRed LeafGreen. Since then, I have loved collecting cards.

My first ever graded card was a PSA 9 Koga's Ninja Trick from 1998's Japanese Gym 2. I bought this in 2018 because of the little symbol in the back. I thought it was kind of crazy that it exists. That's the mindset I use with a lot of my purchases now. After the card craze during the pandemic, I started to become addicted to buying cards. It started with a PSA 10 Skyla from Shining Fates, and snowballed into the collection that it is now.
Custom Cards
Madden Ultimate TeamLike many nerds in the early 2000s, I used to draw my own Pokémon cards on paper. I guess technically, these would be the first time I dabbled in custom cards. My first digital project happened in my freshman year of high school during a communications class in the computer lab. I was obsessed with Madden Ultimate Team for the first time. I started making cards for the football players at our school. Year after year, I would spend a lot of time practicing graphic design by designing new Madden cards. I would also end up spending a lot of money on Ultimate Team.
Pokemon and Animal CrossingThe first time I designed a custom Pokémon card was around 2017 or 2018. I do not have drawing skills, so anything original was likely traced. I started making cards with summons from World of Final Fantasy: Leviathan, Ifrit, and Bahamut. These would also be the first cards I ended up printing. I also made cards of other things I liked that could be seen as Pokémon-like, like Mona from Persona 5 and Venosnaker from Kamen Rider. When Animal Crossing New Horizons came out, I learned to make custom amiibos using NFC chips. To accompany these, I made the villagers into Pokémon cards. I posted my project on TikTok, and it got a fair amount of attention. I gave away a couple of these to friends who played the game, and 5 random followers on TikTok.
3D Card AltersThis is where I peaked in life. The first video I made on the alters got over 1 million views, and the sequel got to 3 million. The first video even got the "featured" designation on it, something that TikTok doesn't do anymore. Take that Charli D'Amelio. In total, I made 3 of these, Pikachu, Charmander, and Magikarp. I chose these because they are some of the most recognizable Pokémon for a general audience. My alters did not look good. I 100% believe my success came from the fact that I was one of the first people on the platform to do it.
Extended Art SlabsShoutout to PokeMinh on Etsy for the idea. This was very easy, but turned out very nice. The idea here is that you have a SlabMag case, which is a frame with two tempered glass sides, and you stick something between it and the slab. After a little trial and error, this was the result. I chose to do this with Skyla because this card is what got me into collecting slabs, so I figured it should stand out a little more on the shelf.
The New Pokémon CardsIn 2022, I decided that I was done making the quick and unimpressive Pokémon cards that I had done before. I had ideas for cards that I knew I couldn't bring to life, so I started hiring artists to do the art for me. I would also buy slabs for these and make custom labels. This is the new collection.001: Tornadus V
YouTube Channels
I was 8 years old when this new sitcom called iCarly premiered on Nickelodeon. You are probably familiar with the show, it is about these three kids who create a webshow and find tons of success online. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to create content for the internet. I would make my first YouTube channel the next year, uploading my first video which was a LEGO stopmotion. My content constantly evolved as I did to get to where we are now.I've come to realize over the years that I don't really care if I don't get the numbers I dreamed about as a kid. The fun comes in making content that I enjoy and I can look back at in a few decades and make fun of. Here is a list of every personal channel I have had.
HighOctaneMega (2009)My first channel would be known as HighOctaneMega, named after the High Octane Megazord from the show I was obsessed with at the time, Power Rangers RPM (still the best season in the show's history). The first video I ever uploaded to YouTube was a review of a LEGO Starfighter set on March 19, 2009. Not much of a review, as I did not talk in it. From there, I uploaded some LEGO Stopmotion videos, not very good ones.
KamenRangerRPMDragon (2009-2010)In 2009, a new American hero series premiered that would challenge Power Rangers for my top interest. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight took over my childhood. On this new channel, I made "music videos" for Power Rangers and Kamen Rider that consisted of gifs that were uploaded to fansites at the time. After a while, the content shifted towards Club Penguin.
HBKelly2 (2010)Don't ask me about this one, I don't remember it. I only stumbled across it after doing research to write this. I always disliked wrestling as a kid. This was until I watched it in 2010 and it was actually fun. I bought my first figures at this time, it was a double pack with John Cena and the Big Show and it came with a ring. That was the birth of Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW). On this channel, I made wrestling stopmotion and Smackdown vs Raw videos. Or so it would appear, like I said I don't remember this.
UCW2011 (2010-2013)I must not have been a fan of that last channel, because I moved on to this one rather quickly. UCW would continue onto here, but later on I fell out of love with wrestling and moved on to other games, like Roblox and Minecraft. With that came a rebrand. UCW no longer stood for Ultimate Championship Wrestling, it now stood for Uber Champion Wolf. I was always worried about this channel, because I feared that the '2011' in the name might make people think I was 12 years younger than I actually was. Look at me now.
VariationGamingHD (2013)Not too much to say about this one. This was a group channel that I made with my friends at the time. I'm not sure why we were friends, I didn't have much in common with them. I was eventually kicked out of that friend group.
ThePeaKVelocity (2013)2013 was a magical year. It was the only time I've really been invested in a Call of Duty. Clans were all the rage in the Black Ops 2 days. I ended up joining one called PeaK. I was never great at first person shooter games, so I joined as an editor after I told the owner that I am good at making videos. Apparently I was in way over my head, as after I made our first montage, I quit the clan and went radio silent. I hope those guys are doing well. Apparently I was also in another clan called Raid, although I don't remember that one.
Nexus Onyx (2013-2014)After I left PeaK, I made my own clan. The competitive differentiator? I was the only member. Nexus was named after the group of the same name in the WWE, and Onyx came from the Kamen Rider. This channel was focused on gaming, but it was a larger variety. In a now deleted video, I amounted 350,000 views, which is a YouTube high for me. This was also the first time I purchased subscribers.
ONYXMUT (2014-2016)This was meant to be a spinoff of Nexus Onyx, but after this channel started I abandoned the original immediately. This channel would be focused on Madden- nothing more, nothing less. It was the first time I made a channel that centered on one thing and actually stuck to it. For the most part. Everything was at least sports game related.
Jared and Justin (2017)Some good times were had at this point in my life. Luckily, they have been documented on this channel. Senior year, my buddy, Jared, and I started this channel. It was called Jared and Justin, as lots of popular channels at the time following the [Name] and [Name] format. I constantly find myself going back to these videos to remind myself of the good ol days.
IRIS_JOKER (2018)The shortest lived channel I've ever made. While I was working at GameStop, my store leader got all of the employees to make an esports organization called IRIS. I streamed Madden a few times and uploaded a single H1Z1 video. After that, everything just dissolved. At least I got a free T shirt out of it.
Rebranded (2019)Rebranded was a soft reboot of the Jared and Justin channel. I realized that our name sucked and was very limiting, so I decided to Rebrand it. Get it? The single video that was uploaded to this channel was the proudest I have ever felt about my editing skills. I realized around this time that I was likely never going to be comfortable in front of a camera, so I took more of a backseat role as the cameraman and editor. Then I got sick the following week and blamed another member on it, and things weren't the same since. I still have a lot of unused footage from this project. I considered this my last shot to becoming successful on YouTube, until...

Trophy Hunting
Am I an achievement oriented person? Maybe. But when it comes to video games, the answer is absolutely yes. For PlayStation fans, this comes in the form of trophies. By collecting every trophy in a game (most games), you awarded with a shiny Platinum trophy. As of June 4th, 2024, I currently have 165 of these. Below is a timeline that shows all of my platinums, grouped by the year I got them, and the rarity is also displayed.
While there are some dumb filler games in here (My Name is Mayo), I take a lot of pride in finishing most of these. I like getting the feeling that I am experiencing a game to the most it has to offer- that I am getting a journey that is worth the $70 price tag. Here are some of my favorites:
#1: WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2010You never forget your first.
#2: LEGO Batman 2: DC SuperheroesThis was a very influential game for me. It was the first game where I saw its reveal, followed its news cycle, preordered, and got when it came out. My favorite LEGO game.
#17: Madden NFL 16My rarest platinum, with only a .75% completion rate. Not sure why, this is far from a hard platinum.
#21: Uncharted 4Not too bad, but one challenge this trophy list did present was a speedrun achievement. You had to beat the game in under 6 hours. So, this was the first speedrun I ever did.
#9 and #24: South Park: The Stick of Truth#9 was on the PS3 while #24 was on the PS4. It was the first time I've ever platinumed a game twice.
#35: Goat SimulatorFlappy Goat.
#37: Injustice 2One trophy in this game relied very heavily on RNG. It was a pain, but I eventually saved enough currency to obtain it.
#47: Hannah Montana The MovieHannah Montana the Movie the game is one of the most important games of my life. The trophy hunting community see this one as a list padder, which I did too at first. I did this right after My Name is Mayo on PS4 and Vita. On the night I obtained this plat, I had a Calculus midterm. I was so determined to finish the game that I neglected studying for that exam. I did platinum the game that day, but unfortunately failed the exam. Very low score, in the 40s, maybe. This made me realize that if I would rather spend time playing this game than studying for a major test, then I was not passionate about engineering. Later that year, I would switch my major over to marketing, which I eventually graduated with.
#50: Star Wars: The Force UnleashedI got my first trophy in this game on March 14th, 2010. I got the platinum on Match 14th, 2018, exactly 8 years later. I think that's pretty cool.
#67: UndertaleFunny thing about Undertale's list, you don't actually need to beat the game to get all the trophies. I still have never beaten Undertale.
#87: Kamen Rider Battride War GenesisShoutout to Google Translate. There was not a single English sentance in this game. The fact I was able to do everything in it is miraculous.
#99: Madden NFL 25This one was on the shelf for a long time. I was stuck on 97% for years, and never thought I could get it because the servers were dead. That was until I got a second copy of the game and a PS5. I boosted with myself until I was able to win the Super Bowl on this account. The servers shut down shortly after. Only one other person got the platinum after I did, and it was someone who I helped by boosting with. We are the last two people who will probably ever platinum the game.
#117: Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal AssaultDuring Summer 2021, I made it my mission to platinum all of the Ratchet and Clank games. It was a fun journey, and this one popped on my birthday.
#131: Lollipop ChainsawIf you've played Lollipop Chainsaw, you are probably aware of that one trophy. I saved that trophy for last to prove that I am not a degenerate.
#143: MultiVersusMultiVersus has a higher completion percentage now, but when I finished the list in August 2022, it was my rarest platinum at the time with a 0.61%.
#152: Job SimulatorI was the 16th person to platinum this game on the PSVR2 version.
